Big Lottery Fund - Awards For All: NEW GUIDANCE

17 August 2017

The Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All programme has recently revised its application form and guidance.

There are several significant changes - but the one that will make a difference to most organisations is that Awards for All applications can now include costs for salaried staff.

Focus on outcomes

Another big change is to the outcomes that they expect your project to achieve - you now have to demonstrate that your project will achieve at least one of the following:

  • bring people together and build strong relationships in and across communities
  • improve the places and spaces that matter to communities
  • enable more people to fulfil their potential by working to address issues at the earliest possible stage.

New streamlined application process

The application form has been streamlined, meaning your application should be quicker and easier than ever - nearly all the information they require will now be added into one question. The turnaround time for Awards for All applications is also quicker, with the promise of a decision 10 weeks from your submission date (although remember it will take another 2 weeks to arrange payment - so factor that in if you're on a tight schedule).
