Great Get Together grants, deadline 2 July 2018 (5pm)

Bradford Council is able to award small grants of up to £100 to support Great Get Together/ Big Lunch activities and events across Bradford district. This can include any of the following:

  • Street party
  • Lunar lunch/Iftar
  • Community barbeque
  • Pot luck supper
  • Picnic
  • Centenary of Representation of People Act / Suffragette themed events

"The Big Lunch is the UK's annual get together for neighbours. Every year in June since the idea began in 2009; millions of people stop what they're doing and get together with neighbours in a nationwide act of community and friendship."

"An event can be anything from a small gathering in a garden, park or driveway, to a larger party with trestle tables down the middle of your street. Many neighbours and groups will be able to put on a lunch without any additional funding. For those who will need a little help we have received some funding to help as many people take part as possible."


Bradford Council will prioritise funding events that are specially organised to celebrate the Big Lunch Great Get Together.

The deadline for applications is 2 July 2018 (5pm).

All events and activities have to take place from 24 July to 30 September 2018.
