Near Neighbours small grants 2018

"Near Neighbours brings people from communities that are religiously and ethnically diverse together, so that they can get to know each other better, build relationships of trust and collaborate together on initiatives that improve the local community they live in."

Grants of £250 to £5,000 are available to support projects that develop:

  1. Social interaction - to develop positive relationships in multi-faith and multi-ethnic areas i.e. to help people from different faiths and ethnicities get to know and understand each other better.
  2. Social action - to encourage people of different faiths and of no faith and of different ethnicities to come together for initiatives that improve their local neighbourhood.

Eligible area

Parts of Bradford district are eligible. Check the West Yorkshire eligibility map to make sure your project is in an area that can be funded.

Please read the criteria before completing the application form.

The funder aims to make a decision on all grant applications within 14 days of receiving all the necessary information.

There are no published deadlines. Grants are awarded until all funds have been spent.

The funder encourages applicants to speak to their local Near Neighbours coordinator before completing the application form. Their job is to support you in developing your project idea and help you through the application process. They can also suggest potential partners and assist you in identifying what activities you could run as part of your project.
