News from Bradford District Community Fund:
Pears Youth Fund is a new fund for Bradford and Leeds districts. Grants of up to £7,500 are available for projects focusing on young people, voice, engagement and influence.
"Leeds Community Foundation is pleased to announce a new £100,000 fund which has been made possible thanks to generous support from Pears Foundation, a family foundation based in London. The focus of the fund is on encouraging applicants that actively involve young people in the design and delivery of projects that focus on voice, engagement and influence. We are particularly interested in looking at the barriers that make it more difficult for young people to have a voice and be heard; or engage and interact with each other, and with local organisations. We would like to use the funding to explore different methods of engagement and collaboration and to understand more about the barriers and solutions."
The deadline for applications is 10 April 2017 (12 noon).
You can also find out more about the fund at a briefing session on 16 March 2017, 2pm to 3pm at St George's Conference Centre, Great George Street, Leeds LS1 3BR - book a workshop place.
