Save money on events

The KIVCA resource library has an electric balloon pump, digital cameras, hearing loops, leaflet stands and holders, six-panel display boards, parachute game, gazebos, PA systems (large and portable), tea urns, laptop computers, digital projector, projection screen, digital camcorder and thermos flasks.

All these items are available on loan or hire at a reasonable daily rate – and the service is free to KIVCA members. A deposit is paid on all items, which is refunded when they are returned in good condition. Equipment can be booked in advance from  Beryl on 01535 665258.

Bradford CVS also has the following equipment for hire: data projector, overhead projector, projector screen, slide projector, TV and video, display screens, flipchart stands and collecting boxes.  Telephone 01274 722772.

Royds Community Association has a mobile exhibition unit for hire, with hot and cold running water, sink, fridge, heating, tea and coffee making facilities, toilet, comfortable seating area, tables and chairs (if required), music and PA system (indoor and outdoor), television and video (if required), noticeboard and awning that makes another room or shelter. The driver has experience of organising exhibitions, conferences and galas. Phone 01274 355600.

The Co-operative Society will often provide free Fairtrade refreshments for community events. Ask at your local store for tea, coffee, chocolate, bananas etc.
