Planning Toolkit

fit4funding has produced a Planning Toolkit for Voluntary Action Calderdale with funding from the BIG Lottery Fund which we are making available to you.

The Planning Toolkit allows allows you to work through the key elements of a business plan and prepare text which hopefully will transfer easily into funders application forms or the additional documents required for your application.

These are interactive forms available either as a Microsoft Word Document (will work with versions from 2000) or an Adobe Acrobat pdf. If you do not have this software on your computer there are free download options for you below.

The two versions behave differently especially when using the different software options below.

Microsoft Word

The Microsoft Word version allows you to add any amount of text within the editable areas and so the page numbering of the Contents page will not correspond as you expand editable fields.

You can save this version partially filled or completed. While the document text is protected you will be able to copy and paste text from the form fields when you need to in the future.

Adobe Acrobat

The Adobe Acrobat version has fixed size boxes in which you enter your information.

However Adobe Acrobat Reader only allows you to enter form fields and print them out and NOT to save or store this information. IF YOU TRY YOU WILL GET A BLANK FORM AND LOSE YOUR ENTRIES.
So if you use Acrobat Reader you should also save the text of each of your entries in a word processor document to ensure your have copy to use later by copying/pasting without having to retype it all.

If, by chance, you have a full Adobe Acrobat product you will be able to save the completed or partially filled form for later use.

WHICHEVER VERSION YOU USE YOU WILL NEED TO SAVE THE INTERACTIVE DOCUMENT ONTO YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE STARTING TO FILL IN THE FORM FIELDS AND USE IT.
