European Structural & Investment Funds (ESIF) 2014-20

The European Structural & Investment Funds (ESIF) programme in England for the period 2014 to 2020 will focus on “smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.”

Activity will be delivered locally through the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).  Leeds City Region has been notionally allocated £338 million of ESIF funding to support business growth and create jobs.

The LEP’s ESIF Strategy sets out how the City Region's EU funding allocation will be invested.

Calls for proposals in Leeds City Region and other areas of the country, are published on the gov.uk website which also covers eligibility and guidance on applying.

The ESIF programme is funded through European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund (ESF) and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

Match funding of 50% of project costs is required. However some areas of activity will be co-financed by the Department of Work and Pensions, Skills Funding Agency and Big Lottery Fund.
