Important consultation on BMDC budget - you can get involved

Bradford Council has published its draft proposals for its 2012/3 budget.

Formal consultation has been launched and the budget proposals, including where cuts could be made are available on the Bradford Council website - this includes information about cuts to voluntary sector funding.

Want to respond?  The deadline is 7 February 2012.  Once you have read the consultation documents, there is a survey you can complete to give your views.

Bradford Budget Community Consultation Event.  Free event.  Monday 23 January, 2.00-4.30pm at Sharing Voices, Clifton Villas, Bradford, BD8 7BY

This event has been organised by The Bradford Inquiry Group, a multi-agency partnership that includes the Advice Network and Training Partnership, Age Concern, Bradford Alliance on Community Care, Bradford Resource Centre, Contact, Equity Partnership, JUST West Yorkshire and Staying Put.

In view of the impact of council cuts on vulnerable communities, your feedback is critical to help BIG partners to work with the council to ensure that your priorities inform the budget-setting process. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis, 2 places per group.
