Small grants (up to £500) for one-off activities or purchase of equipment.
Applications will only be considered from groups/ organisations that either operate in, or benefit people that live in the Shipley Constituency area:
- Bingley - Crossflatts, Micklethwaite, Eldwick, Gilstead, Bingley Town
- Bingley Rural - Cottingley, Cullingworth, Denholme, Harden, Wilsden
- Wharfedale - Burley in Wharfedale, Menston
- Windhill & Wrose - East Shipley, Wrose
- Baildon - Esholt, Middle Baildon, Otley Road, Upper Baildon
- Shipley - Lower Baildon, Shipley North, Shipley South
From the guidance (please read the full criteria before applying):
"Applications will be considered to assist community based leisure, social or cultural activities which will be of benefit to the community, and where the activity could not go ahead without financial assistance.
Special consideration will be given to particular target groups including the elderly, disabled, youth, ethnic minorities, unemployed and to particular communities (eg inner city areas, council estates etc), and to new starts and innovative schemes.
Bids from new groups or previously unfunded groups will be positively encouraged.
Grants may be used to complement other sources of funding (eg Sports Council, Arts Council, Yorkshire Arts). Shipley Area Committee expects organisations to make every effort to be self-supporting, and will favour applications where other funding/fund raising has been secured."
