Bradford Council Tour de Yorkshire 2017 small grants

The Tour de Yorkshire 2017 coming our way! Stage three starts in Bradford city centre on Sunday 30 April and then heads through Shipley, Menston, Burley in Wharfedale, Ilkley and Addingham. Later in the day, the route goes through Silsden, Riddlesden, Keighley, Haworth, Denholme and Queensbury.

"We would like to invite our communities to respond, take part and celebrate this wonderful sporting event coming to our district. In order to facilitate this, Bradford Council has created a seed fund to award grants of up to £300 (max) to projects across the District which will celebrate the Tour in an appropriate way."

Events and activities can take place from 17 to 30 April 2017 and should take place near or next to the route. 

  • "Applications will be considered which assist community based leisure/cultural activities in support of the ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ which will be of benefit to local communities in Bradford & District.
  • "Special consideration will be given to particular target groups including the elderly, youth, ethnic minorities, unemployed, special needs organisations, and to particular communities (eg; inner city areas, council estates), and for new starts and innovatory schemes."

Grants are not available for fundraising events, capital projects, treats, outings and guest speakers.
