Safer Communities Fund, deadline 24 May 2019 (12 noon)

The Safer Communities Fund offers grants of up to £6,000 to help voluntary and community groups, charities and partners make their communities safer and feel safer. Projects must take place in West Yorkshire.

Priorities for this grant round

£100,000 will be available for projects that address either one or both of these targeted areas:

  1. Targeted priority - Projects which will tackle drugs and alcohol misuse for example: education, prevention, support in tackling underlying problems, reducing drug/alcohol related crime including serious violence, reducing re-offending or support for victims of this type of crime.
  2. Targeted group - Focussed work with young people including under the age of ten, and therefore under the criminal age of responsibility. For example: intervention and prevention work including targeted youth diversionary programmes which support the most vulnerable or those at risk of becoming perpetrators of crime and/or victims of tackle criminal and other forms of exploitation.

£100,000 will be set aside for projects across all remaining priorities in the Police and Crime plan.
