This course is aimed at management committee members, trustees, staff and volunteers responsible for finances. It is designed to give you an overview of the four financial foundations that all organisations need to understand if they are to manage their money successfully.

Course content

An introduction on how to:

  • plan your money – budgeting
  • record your money – bookkeeping
  • control your money – financial procedures
  • report your money – management accounts and annual accounts.

All attendees will receive a copy of the West Yorkshire Community Accountancy Service (WYCAS) "Money management for community groups" booklet as well as the opportunity to have a follow-up one-to-one with the course tutor.
