Power to Change, Homes in Community Hands, new grants programme

7 March 2019

Power to Change's Homes in Community Hands programme is open for applications. This new programme will award grants averaging £50,000 to "community led housing projects that will create schemes that deliver a majority of permanently affordable homes for rent or sale to locally connected people". Projects can provide new build housing or refurbish empty properties.

Funds will be largely focussed on five areas, one of which is Leeds City Region (Bradford District is in Leeds City Region).

Organisations must meet Power to Change's community business definition and should have identified a site or buildings and already undertaken some initial project work in order to gain the support of the community and other key stakeholders.
If successful, organisations should be ready to start any funded activities within three months of accepting the grant offer.

Please read the guidance notes then complete the eligiblity checker to get a link to the application form. The application form link will be emailed to you overnight (weekdays).
